Zappi Multiphase CT & Harvi Requirements
The Zappi V2.1 comes with 3 CT clamps to measure your power usage. For a 7kW single-phase setup, you'll only need 1 clamp for the grid, leaving 2 spare for solar or battery monitoring. For a 22kW three-phase setup, all 3 clamps are needed for the grid. If you want to monitor solar or battery systems with three-phase, you'll need additional CT clamps and a Harvi unit (see the table below for details).

Electric Vehicle Model Compatibility
The Zappi works with all Type 2 electric vehicles, as it comes standard with a Type 2 cable or socket. Check if your vehicle is compatible here.
Shipping & Returns

Maximize Your Solar. Minimize Your Bills.
Zappi is the smart EV charger that puts your solar power to work. Automatically charge your vehicle using excess solar energy from your system—no wasted power, no wasted money.
With three intelligent charging modes, you're always in control. Harness pure solar power when conditions are optimal, or seamlessly blend solar with grid power when you need it. Monitor and manage everything from the intuitive Zappi Screen or smartphone app, giving you complete visibility and control over your charging.
Stop paying for grid electricity when you're already generating your own power. Zappi makes it simple.
Three Electric Car Charging Modes
FAST
In this mode, the vehicle will be charged at maximum power available for your EV & charger.
ECO
Charge power is continuously adjusted in response to changes in generation or power consumption elsewhere in the home. Charging will continue until the vehicle is fully charged, even if power is drawn from the grid.
ECO+
Charge power is constantly adapted in reaction to changes in generation or power usage elsewhere in the home. Charging will cease if there isn't enough excess solar power available, restarting only when there is surplus free power available.
Myenergi App
Control your Zappi EV Charger directly from your smartphone using the MyEnergi App. Schedule charging times, monitor your charging progress, and switch between charging modes—all from your phone.
See your complete energy picture: View your solar generation and battery storage alongside your EV charging. This helps you understand exactly how much energy you're using and where it's going.
Need to track solar and battery? You'll need additional CT Clamps and possibly a Harvi Unit to monitor solar generation and battery storage in the app. Check our CT & Harvi Requirements Table above for more information.
Prioritize your energy: Connect all your devices to see your complete energy ecosystem. Then set your own priorities—for example, charge your battery first, then your EV. You control the order through the app.
FAQs
What is the difference between untethered and tethered EV chargers?
A tethered charger comes with a charging cable physically attached to the charger.
An untethered charger does not come with a charging cable. You will need to purchase a separate charging cable if you purchase an untethered unit.
What is a multi-phase Zappi EV charger?
A multiphase EV charger means that you can install the same EV charger for either single or three phase. If you have a single phase home, then the Zappi can be installed as a 7kW single phase charger. If you have three phase, then the Zappi can be installed as a 22kW three phase charger.
Do I need to buy extra CT Clamps or a Harvi unit?
The short answer is no. However, it depends on what data you want to see in the Myenergi smartphone app. If you choose not to purchase the additional equipment then the Zappi will operate as normal and will still do solar matching. If you want to see the excess solar generation in the myenergi app or control a battery, then you will require additional CT clamps and/or a Harvi unit. Please see the CT & Harvi requirements guide above to help you make your decision.
Does Solar Matching work with my EV Charger even if I don't buy the extra CTs?
Yes, all features of the Zappi will still work. The additional CT Clamps are used to record the data and show the solar generation within the Myenergi App. If you do not purchase the additional CT clamps then the solar generation statistics will not display in the Myenergi App.
What is the benefit of buying an untethered EV charger?
The main benefit of an untethered charger is that you can take the separate cable with you if you go on a road trip. For a tethered charger you cannot detach the cable from the physical unit.
